Henrietta Johnson Medical Center (HJMC), a Federally Qualified Health Center, provides a wide range of medical and dental services, at two sites located within the city of Wilmington. We offer caring, quality healthcare for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Every patient who visits our facility has his or her own dedicated physician. HJMC participates with most insurances, including Medicaid and Medicare. A sliding fee scale, based on income and family size, is available for uninsured patients.

Community health centers like ours have been recognized as a cost-effective and necessary alternative to emergency room-based primary healthcare services.

Ronda Lynn Broady, DO  has joined the Family Practice Dept. of Henrietta Johnson.  Dr. Broady earned her degree in Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She  will work collaboratively with the medical team to diagnose and treat our patients in family practice.

A breakfast was held in March in the Wilmington Trust Company boardroom to educate targeted community leaders about the healthy contributions HJMC makes to its community. U.S. Representative Michael Castle attended this important event.

HJMC is pleased to announce the addition of two new medical providers to its staff.

• Flauvius Akerele, M.D. is a board-certified OB/GYN with more than 30 years of experience in all areas of women’s health.
• Sheri L. Brown, MSN, RN, FNP-C is a Licensed Family Nurse Practitioner who works collaboratively with the whole HJMC medical team to diagnose and treat a variety of diseases and injuries in general practice.

Delsey Morales, HJMC patient navigator has been named “Youth of the Year” for the State of Delaware. Congratulations Delsey—we’re all proud to have you be a part of the HJMC “family”.

Breaking NEWS. . .HJMC Welcomes PHYTEL [Automated Patient Appointment Reminders]

Henrietta Johnson Medical Center is excited about our new automated confirmation method of confirming our patient appointments. Our patients receive appointment confirmations 48 hours in advance. The PHTEL system will make 3 attempts to deliver a successful message. How it works is. . . .The system calls the number given  {patient name} has an {appointment on this date} at {this time} now the PATIENT NEEDS TO PRESS 1 to confirm the appointment.

If a patient needs to reschedule an appointment they Need to Press 2. To Cancel an appointment Press 3 and if the Patient needs to listen to a reminder, simply Press 4.
